Wardrobe Editing – My Favourite First Step & Semi-Annual Service

A wardrobe edit is more than just a closet clean-out. It’s a reset. A refresh. A chance to
reorganize, reimagine, and reconnect with your personal style — and the life you’re dressing for.

The process starts with a 20–40 minute virtual consultation where we assess your goals,
lifestyle, and pain points. For many clients, we move forward with a virtual wardrobe edit,
especially if travel or time is a concern. While it’s not quite as thorough as an in-person session
(I can’t always see what’s hiding behind closed doors or lovingly over-worn), it’s still an
incredibly effective starting point.

What is a Wardrobe Edit?

As a trained stylist (with a lifelong eye for grooming garments), I take a thoughtful, strategic
approach to your closet. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Organization by category – I sort by style, colour, season, and function so you can see
    what you own.
  • The purge – Together we edit out what no longer serves you: worn-out pieces, ill-fitting
cuts, duplicate items, or clothes you’ve simply fallen out of love with.
  • Style education – I’ll show you how to wear those pieces you love, bought never wore,
create outfits you wouldn’t have put together yourself. Often pictures are taken.
  • Alteration suggestions – Repurpose and reuse! Often small, affordable tailoring tweaks
    can transform and refresh garments.
  • Create a “What to Buy” list – Many people have gaps in their wardrobe making the
cohesion of wardrobe limited. Some want a totally new wardrobe. Others a modern
upgrade. Love a list! This list help actualize your future wardrobe goals.

*Sentimental honesty – Yes, you can keep that old concert tee. But we’ll create boundaries around what

deserves space and what deserves a new home. *

Wardrobe editing allows me to see not only your colour palette and go-to silhouettes, but also the
story of your buying habits. Clients often tell me that editing their closet gives them more clarity
than shopping ever did. When your wardrobe is refined, wearable, and personalized — shopping
becomes easier, faster, and more fun. You’ll stop buying things that don’t work, because you’ll
finally know what does.

Whether virtual or in-person, a wardrobe edit in Toronto can be the reset your style has been
waiting for. Let’s edit, organize, and elevate — together.

Always,

Kara Brownlee
